WHAT’S THE EPISODE ABOUT…

Hello friends. Welcome back to the Unleashed podcast, I am your host Kristina Sjolund. And as always, I appreciate you taking the time out to listen and hopefully gain a little bit of inspiration, hope, whatever makes you move forward.

We are in some pretty testing times in our lifetime, aren’t we? We are going through something, that I’m pretty sure most of us have never experienced before. It is very different. Sometimes for some people it’s hard to function. It’s hard to find your way. It’s hard to be grounded. It’s hard to for a lot of you out there. Maybe you’re used to being away from your home working. Maybe you’re a hiker, biker, camper, doing things outside of the home all the time, so being in your home right now, you are a little on the crazy side. So, I wanted to put together some things that will hopefully help people get through this. Right now, there’s several people who are in the middle of a shelter-in-place order. There’s a lot of people who maybe have that compromised immune system. Or somebody in your home has that compromised immune system, and you can’t go out because of the fear of bringing something back in. I really wanted to share some ideas with you to be able to get through this in a positive and productive manner, and I feel that some of the things that I have here today, that I’ll be sharing with you, are going to be helpful. • I know that when I go outside and I start to work in my flower beds. I can’t tell you how grounded I feel. I feel so in touch and I feel peace. I love that feeling. So if that’s what it is for you, do that. If music is your place where you get back to the core of you do that. If it’s reading, do it, whatever it is that makes you take care of yourself feel better. (03:54)

• Maybe you’re a healthcare worker, do something good for someone else but at a distance. Okay, maybe just send a note and say hi. Maybe send a text message or a chat message through Facebook or Instagram, do something nice that makes somebody else feel good. (06:46)

• Because our kids are watching, our kids are watching how we handle stressful situations. If we handle it with grace and ease, they’re going to be able to learn how to handle the really tough things in life with grace and ease. They’re going to learn how to not get spun up and go sideways in a stressful situation, be that example and know that everything’s going to be just fine. (10:19)

• Let them know. Know that they mean something to you. But when you post on social media the things that you’re thankful for, do you know that that spreads positive light you have to be the light, and you’re going to shine a light on somebody else’s life. (11:59)

• It’s all going to be just fine. But when you have that goal in place and you are working towards that goal, you don’t put it on hold you just keep on going for it. You’re going to be one of the first out of the gate, and I can promise you that you’re not going to regret the feeling of being consistent and never ever stopping that is going to be so incredibly rewarding for you.
